02 July 2006 - front yard

I started this lupine from seed. The first pink bloom is quite lovely.

Last year (my garden's first), the Russian sage (front left) did not thrive.
I was disappointed since it's suppose to be an excellent xeric plant.
This year, all three of Russian sages are healthy and growing into large shrubs.
My lesson: patience - some plants take a year to establish themselves.
